ACRE is working with CPRE to promote the benefits of neighbourhood planning to communities that haven’t engaged with it yet and to help overcome some of the myths about it.
Ten areas of rural England have been identified where take-up of the opportunities provided by neighbourhood planning has been relatively slow. ACRE Network members and CPRE branches, working in partnership with other local organisations, are holding roadshows in each of these areas during March 2016.
Each event will include presentations from local groups who have been involved in neighbourhood planning, representatives from local planning authorities, and an official from the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) who are funding the programme of promoting neighbourhood planning.
If you’re interested in finding out more about neighbourhood planning – and why wouldn’t you be? – and you live in or near one of these areas, you are welcome to attend. Please use this link http://www.cpre.org.uk/NProadshows to book your place.
If you do attend an event, why not tweet about it using #NProadshows?
