North West
North West Rural Community Councils, NWRCC, is a collaborative company linking all the Rural Community Action Network members within the North West, drawing experience, knowledge and talent into the regional forum. NWRCC incorporated as a company limited by guarantee (no: 05839494) in 2006 and has since registered as a charity (no: 1120969).
The work of NWRCC is planned and managed by a Board of nine directors, elected annually by the members and comprises three representatives of each RCAN member. NWRCC currently has no staff members; however the work is shared between each RCAN member depending on expertise.
The vision that underpins the work of NWRCC is:
- To be a leading catalyst for community development in the North West - predominantly in rural areas.
- To enable RCAN members to provide high quality services to empower people to build sustainable rural communities in a pleasant environment
- To determine that the policies of government, agencies and authorities at local, regional and national level take account of rural communities
- To ensure that the rural voice is heard.
