Rural Action East

Rural Action East has a vision to be the leading voice for rural community development in the Eastern Region; the catalyst for building and sustaining a thriving rural community where people can live and work in a quality environment. Rural Action East is a company limited by guarantee in England and a registered charity whose members are the six county Rural Community Action Network members of the East of England. We are a member of the Rural Community Action Network (RCAN).

Rural Action East works for rural regeneration within the region and have three major objectives:

Strategic Influence – To proactively influence regional strategies, policies and decision making on issues affecting the quality of life for rural communities.
Strengthening the Network – To improve the delivery of services to rural communities through support to a vibrant regional Rural Community Action Network (RCAN) working effectively together for mutual benefit
Programme Delivery – To manage and deliver regional contracts and projects for the benefit of rural communities.

Our overall aim is to build strong communities where local action can transform the outlook for rural quality of life.
