The 2011 Budget Statement
ACRE has produced a briefing which covers the main points in the 23 March Budget statement, that are relevant to rural communities and those that support them.
The key announcements for rural communities include encouragement to charitable giving through simplification of Gift Aid, the changes to fuel duty, a new-build shared equity scheme, a consultation on reducing the need to apply for planning permission for change of use and a presumption in favour of sustainable development.
